A Lost (And Found?) Galaxy?

One of the earliest galaxies indexed, NGC 56, is widely considered a "lost galaxy" because there appears to be no sign of a galaxy fitting its description where it was originally indexed.  But, galaxies shouldn't just disappear with a whimper one day.

However, another somewhat nearby galaxy, PGC 1107, that does seem to fit the original description of NGC 56, may be the missing NGC 56 galaxy, with coordinates that were not quite perfectly recorded the first time when it was indexed.
